Fix-it Friday (his & hers)...

Time for another Fix-It Friday from i heart faces! This week we have a little friendly rivalry happening in our house. Oh yea, a his and hers face-off between my husband and I!

This is the original...

And this is the one I tinkered with in Aperture before pulling into Photoshop and using a couple actions (Super Fun Happy and then B**chin' B & W)...

And this is my sweetie's. He adjusted it in Aperture, hit it with a lil' "Super Fun Happy" Totally Rad Action in Photoshop (copycat!) and then he added in these fairytale overlays from Design Aglow in Photoshop. You can see more examples of the Fairytale overlays in action by visiting our photography blog. It's okay if you like his better, cause, well, it won't hurt my feelings. And anyway, I might (but might not!) sort of maybe like his a tiny teeny touch better. Maybe. Sort of. But maybe not. Shhhh, don't tell him.

Don't forget to head on over to i heart faces and check out the rest of the wonderful editing masterpieces!

  1. I think it's awesome that your hubby and you have a little banter going! Did he see yours before he had his chance? Just the other day my guy said some crack about my blogging and my guess is he is aching to have a go! Maybe I'll wrangle the kiddos this morning and challenge him! Both of the fixes you posted have a great softness, perfect for the sunset beach theme. I can't pick one over the other though, they are two completely different edits! Kudos!

  2. That's so cool that you two completed a little with the editing! You both did great! They are both unique, so it's hard to pick a "better" one. :)

  6. I love you edits! The way you changed the crop and the angle in the first one makes it look like his face is looking up towards the sky - LOVE.IT!

  9. You are so lucky! If my husband got into my PS, he'd probably ruin the whole program somehow. Although...I don't have to share my precious PS with him ever... ;)

Both are beautiful edits. The cropping in your version is fantastic! And the overlays on his version are just too cool. Kudos to both of you ~ it really is amazing that you can share your love of photography with each other.
